Outside Sales Representative

Sell Proton’s professional websites and custom business systems to U.S. businesses. Build your own pipeline, own the sales process, and earn through two commission models.

Compensation

Two ways to earn.

Website Projects

50%commission

On qualifying one-time website project revenue collected by Proton.

$2,000 project → $1,000 commission

Custom Business Systems

Earn the approved margin above Proton’s project minimum

Proton establishes an approved minimum project price after technical review. If you close the project at an approved higher price, the difference can become your commission under the Commission Schedule.

Illustrative example

Approved minimum: $8,000

Approved final sale: $12,000

Potential commission: $4,000

Standard websites create frequent opportunities. Custom systems create larger ones.

No fixed commission ceiling. Earnings depend on qualifying business generated and successfully closed.

About the Role

Proton Technologies Limited is looking for independent Outside Sales Representatives to help grow our U.S. client base.

This is a commission-only independent contractor opportunity for sales professionals who are comfortable generating their own leads, speaking directly with business owners, and taking ownership of the sales process.

For standard website projects, representatives will generally manage the commercial sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through follow-up, closing, and project handoff.

For custom business systems or technically complex projects, representatives will identify the opportunity, gather the client’s initial requirements, and work with Proton before final scope, pricing, functionality, integrations, or delivery commitments are approved.

This role is best suited for someone who can build their own pipeline rather than relying on company-provided leads.

Prospect → Discover → Present → Follow Up → Close → Handoff

Responsibilities

  • Identify and prospect potential U.S. business clients through cold calling, email, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and research.
  • Speak with business owners and decision-makers; conduct discovery before recommending a service.
  • Present Proton’s website and custom business-system services in clear business terms.
  • Manage follow-up, objections, proposals, and commercial conversations through close.
  • Close standard website projects within approved company pricing and sales guidelines.
  • For custom or complex opportunities, gather requirements and bring them to Proton for review before commitments are made.
  • Maintain accurate lead, proposal, and sales records, and coordinate clean project handoff after closing.
  • Represent Proton accurately and avoid unsupported technical, pricing, or delivery commitments.

What You’ll Be Selling

Professional Websites

Custom business websites designed and developed around the client’s business, brand, and requirements.

Website development currently starts at $200, with additional pages, functionality, and services priced according to actual project scope.

Custom Business Systems

Purpose-built software for businesses whose workflows or requirements do not fit neatly inside standard off-the-shelf software.

These opportunities require technical review before final scope, pricing, functionality, integrations, or delivery commitments are approved.

Compensation

This is a commission-only independent contractor role. There is no base salary or hourly wage.

Website projects

50% of qualifying one-time website project revenue

$1,000 project$500 commission
$3,000 project$1,500 commission

Commission is paid according to the applicable Independent Contractor Agreement and Commission Schedule after the qualifying client payment has been collected.

For custom business systems, Proton reviews the technical requirements and establishes an approved minimum project price. If the representative negotiates an approved final price above that amount, the approved difference may become the representative’s commission under the applicable Commission Schedule.

Recurring hosting, maintenance, support, domain fees, taxes, refunds, chargebacks, and third-party pass-through expenses are generally not commissionable unless otherwise agreed in writing.
