The situation
Floor & Kitchen Resource needed a better way to handle quotes. Sales reps were spending too much time assembling them by hand, and customers often had to wait for a representative before they could get pricing.
The process worked, but it was slow. As quote volume grew, the cost of that manual work became harder to ignore.
What we built
Proton designed a custom quoting tool around the company’s existing sales workflow. Reps could produce quotes more quickly, and customers could generate quotes themselves when that made sense.
The system was intentionally narrow. It followed the way the business already sold, rather than forcing the team into a generic CRM quoting module.
Why this approach
Off-the-shelf platforms often come with more structure than a business needs—and still miss the details that matter. A focused build kept the tool useful, understandable, and aligned with the real process.
Outcome
Sales time spent on quote assembly dropped. Customers could get quotes without waiting on a representative. The quoting process became clearer and more consistent.
The same foundation can later support more product rules, user roles, or connections to other business tools without starting over.
